Yes. vMeasure dimensioners can measure non-cubic and irregular shapes for both parcels and palletized freight, as long as the item is within the selected mode’s dimensioning range.
Examples (parcels)
- Polybags, spheres, tubes, and irregular items that do not have clean rectangular edges.
Examples (pallets)
- Irregular pallet loads or freight with uneven outlines can still be dimensioned based on the item’s outer boundary, when within the pallet mode’s scanning specs.
Important limitations to keep consistent
- Transparent objects, highly reflective objects, perfect cones, and pitch-dark black items may not be reliably dimensioned.
- Minimum detectable size guidance applies (for example, height and width should be at least 1.2 inches, and sloping-side edges should be greater than 0.8 inches).
