Dimensioners that measure anything from parcels to pallets
vMeasure Dimensioner

Does vMeasure work on non-reflective flat surfaces?

Yes. vMeasure is designed to measure items placed on a stable, non-reflective flat surface such as a packing table, workstation top, or a typical warehouse floor.

When it works best?

  • Matte or textured surfaces (laminate tables, rubber mats, normal concrete).
  • Even lighting with a clear outline between the item and the surface.

What can still cause issues?

  • Shiny or glossy floors that create glare (some epoxy floors can behave like reflective surfaces).
  • Transparent items or highly reflective packaging materials.
  • Very dark items with low visual contrast.
  • Items that are too small in height or width for the device to reliably detect.

Quick fix if the surface is borderline?

Place a matte base sheet or mat on the surface and dimension on top of it. This reduces glare and improves edge detection.
If you are dimensioning unusual materials or surfaces, the fastest way to confirm fit is to run a short on-site test using your real SKUs and lighting conditions.
