A pallet dimensioner automates the process of measuring a palletized freight while also ensuring accuracy of such measurements. It is used by LTL carriers, freight forwarders, and shippers for different use cases such as load optimization, freight documentation purposes, getting accurate shipping rates,, and to ensure compliance.​
How does a pallet dimensioner work?
The warehouse associate places the pallet inside the ROI and triggers the measurement using barcode scanner or by pressing the ‘Measure’ button on the touchscreen. The system then measures the Length, Width, Height, and Weight of the palletized freight in two seconds along with the annotated images of the freight from two sides. Then, the measurement data and the images are pushed to any external system of the customer’s choice through API-enabled integrations.​
