For example, a pallet record may show a width that is larger than the pallet base. The image may show that cartons were extending beyond one side wrapping increased the pallet size. Without the image, a reviewer sees the measurement but not the physical reason behind it.

Timestamps and scan history make a freight record easier to trace because they show when each scan happened and keep the results in the order they were created. Your warehouse operators can go back to the first scan, check later scans, and see what changed.
A pallet scanned before wrapping can measure smaller than the same pallet after wrapping when the wrap or final load shape extends beyond the earlier profile. Keeping both scans gives your operators a clear before and after record instead of replacing the first measurement.
