3PLs and E-commerce Retailers use the floor mounting options
to fit tight packing stations

When to use a floor mounting option?

Instantly go into production with the vMeasure dimensional weight scanners by mounting them directly on the floor at your pack station to measure all parcels eliminated by the conveyor, including heavy and large parcels.

Parcel Workflow

Suitable for parcel throughput of 250 – 300 parcels per hour.

Exclusion Flow

Best for parcels above 20 inches that are rejected by automatic conveyor systems.

Heavy-Duty Handling

Ideal for larger, heavier parcels that are difficult to lift manually. The floor-mounted system allows parcels to be wheeled or conveyed directly beneath the dimensioner.

Dedicated Measurement Zone

Ideal for facilities that benefit from having a fixed area for dimensioning, ensuring a streamlined workflow and organized space.

Start dimensioning right from day 1. In less than 30 minutes

We make dimensioning simple, So why make the installation of dimensional weight scanners complex?

Frequently asked questions

1. What are the suitable mounting options for dimensional weight scanners in my operation?

The floor mounting option is typically used during the exclusion flow or when the parcels measured are generally medium to large. The choice of mounting options depends on the use case and the point of deployment.
For instance, the mobile cart mounting option is used at the receiving station especially if there are heavy parcels coming inside the warehouse because it provides the much-needed mobility. Therefore, the warehouse staff doesn’t need to carry the parcel to the dimensional weight scanner.

2. Are there any specific requirements for surface where the vMeasure dimensional weight scanners is placed?

The surface needs to be flat, and the work area should be clean. Ensure that the surrounding is free of moisture.

3. How is the floor-mounted dimensional weight scanners secured to the floor?

The device comes with a base plate where the lower pole is secured using nuts. This base plate acts as a counter-weight, thus keeping the device erect.

4. Can the floor-mounted system be relocated easily if warehouse layouts change?

While the system is designed to be stationary, it can be unmounted and relocated if necessary. However, this process requires caution, and all precautions should be taken to ensure the safety of the device

5. Can the floor-mounted dimensioning weight scanner be used in any warehouse setup?

It is most effective when there is ample floor space available. It requires a dedicated area that is free from disturbances to function optimally.
